Focus on Safety:
Why LifeNet Health Does Not Provide a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS)

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requires chemical manufacturers and importers to develop a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for each hazardous chemical produced or imported. The MSDS must be provided prior to, or at the time of the initial shipment to a downstream distributor or user. Distributors must also ensure that downstream employers are similarly provided an MSDS. So you may wonder why LifeNet Health does not provide an MSDS.
A hazardous chemical is defined as any chemical which is a physical or health hazard.
A “physical hazard” is a chemical for which there is scientifically valid evidence that it is a combustible liquid, compressed gas, explosive, flammable, or organic peroxide, an oxidizer, pyrophoric, unstable (reactive) or water‐reactive.
A “health hazard” is a chemical for which there is statistically significant evidence based on at least one study that acute or chronic health effects may occur in exposed employees.
LifeNet Health’s products are not considered hazardous by OSHA; therefore they do not require an MSDS. All LifeNet Health products are packaged with an Instructions For Use (IFU). Refer to the IFU supplied with each product for specific information on indications for use, contraindications, precautions and preparation instructions.
